Our company has been a part of oldest and most assorted business houses in Kolkata, India. Green Packaging Industries Pvt Ltd has been an active member in the Indian jute industry since 1954. We are a manufacturer and exporter of world class jute bags that are ideal for daily use as well as for promotional purposes.
All our jute bags are manufactured using high grade fabric - laminated jute, which ensures their high quality. The production processes are carried out by our qualified experts, who ensure that all the manufacturing processes conform to industrial standards. Jute and Its Advantages
Jute is one such fabric that is long, soft, and shiny vegetable fiber, which can be easily spun into the coarse, and sturdy threads. It has the special features of being a fiber that is partly textile and partly wood; providing it a coarse texture. Jute is a cost-effective natural fiber, and is at the second position, after cotton, in terms of produced quantity.
Also known as Golden Fiber, Jute is bio degradable i.e., it does not harm the environment. Its advantages and features are as follows:
- 100% bio-degradable & recyclable and hence environmentally friendly
- 1 hectare of jute plants can consume around 15 tons of CO2 and release around 11 tons of oxygen during the jute growing season
- Requires 10 to 20 times less energy in the production, as compared to the production of polypropylene fiber
- A renewable resource with a high rate of production per hectare
- Can be blended with other fibers, both synthetic and natural, and accepts cellulosic dye classes such as natural, basic, vat, sulfur, reactive, and pigment dyes
- Produces top quality yarn, fabric, and sacks
- Amongst most versatile natural fibers used for packaging, textiles, and agricultural sectors
- Can be combined with cotton easily; can also be blended with wool
- Combined jute/cotton blends may produce fabrics with a reduced cost of wet processing treatments

In addition, the unit also creates customized designs, as per the specifications of our customers. Our manufacturing unit is developed as per the international standards and it has equipment / machines to convert raw jute fabric into gorgeous jute bags. All the machines / equipment are based on innovative technology. In addition, we ensure that there is no child labor involved in our unit.
